We are getting deeper into spring. It’s getting warmer and warmer and more people are finding themselves in the need of portable air conditioning advices. The Bay Area recently got hit by a heatwave that illustrated just how serious the need for air conditioning is for many people. Consider a recent article for ABC 7 News titled “RECORD-BREAKING ONE-DAY HEAT WAVE MOVES THROUGH BAY AREA.”

David Louie of ABC 7 News writes, “Residents in the South Bay found ways to beat the heat on Wednesday, which is where some of the highest temperatures were seen in the Bay Area. Some areas in San Jose hit 90 degrees. While some residents have air conditioners, others have to find strategies to stay cool in order to beat the heat. It's the kind of day when you make choices like shooting some hoops and taking your 3.5 month daughter to the park. ‘There's lots of shade, so that's great and extra blankets to cover the baby and coolers and everything to keep everybody safe and hydrated,’ San Jose resident Angela Nardi Brocato said. Hydration is really important, but just when you expect to see people sipping ice cold drinks, ABC7 News ran into a woman named Joy Giordano who was drinking hot coffee. Be careful about spilling liquids on a hot day because just a teaspoon of water can be enough for mosquitoes to breed, according to the county's vector control team. Craig Cook isn't bothered by 90-degree weather as he pedals mobile advertising in Campbell. He works when it's raining and when it's hot. He doesn't look for shade as he said his business is all about being seen. Chris Leahy likes the forecast, and has plenty of his 21 flavors of ice cream ready for youngsters like 3-year-old Leila Brazil. Heading to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk is a good place to go when it's hot.”
