WARRANTY

Unless otherwise specifically indicated and exempted in the product description, there is 1 year parts and/or replacement only manufacturer’s limited warranty from the date of purchase on all products contained on this website. Ductless mini split air conditioning systems purchased before May 31, 2018 have an additional 4 years replacement only limited warranty coverage for the compressor (5 years total compressor coverage).  Ductless mini split air conditioning systems purchased after May 31, 2018 include a 5 year parts replacement only manufacturer's limited warranty for the entire system from date of purchase, with an additional 2 years coverage for the compressor only (7 years total compressor coverage).  Labor is not included in this warranty and is hereby expressly excluded.  Any defective product or components thereof may be repaired or replaced at our/manufacturer’s option.  The buyer shall be responsible for the process and cost of returning the faulty product or part to us for repair and/or replacement.  We will however return the repaired or replaced items or parts to the buyer at our expense within the warranty period via standard ground shipment methods.  We shall not be responsible for faulty installation, operation or maintenance of the product and as such we recommend installation and assembly, where applicable, only by certified and qualified professionals.  It is the responsibility of each purchaser to determine whether the particular product is compliant with and permissible for use pursuant to the applicable rules, codes and/or regulations, if any, and suitable for particular and/or intended use and/or operation therein.  We make no representations or warranties whatsoever concerning the suitability of any merchandise for a particular use or purpose. Damage resulting from failure to use, install or maintain the product in a manner consistent with our/manufacturer’s recommendations shall render the warranty void. AC-World, at its option, may request a report from a qualified technician prior to honoring a warranty claim. All warranties specifically excludes any consequential and/or incidental damages. A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number must be obtained from AC-World prior to return of any equipment. Please email sales@ac-world.com to obtain a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) form.

ORDER PROCESS and TERMS OF PURCHASE

Shipping costs quoted on each product are for delivery within the 48 contiguous United States. Additional shipping costs may apply for delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Canada, Mexico, and all other international destinations. If additional shipping costs are required, our staff will contact the customer by email or phone to provide exact costs and/or collect additional charges, if applicable. Each unit usually ships with 48 business hours from the date of receipt of payment.   The items will be shipped via Ground carrier or freight, depending on the size and dimension.  Transit times are usually between 3-7 days from the date of shipment.  We are not responsible for delay in transit time.  Once your order is placed, any cancellations are subject to a minimum 30% handling, processing, palletizing, and restocking fee using the same method under which payment was originally made. The shipping costs are always non-refundable. Important: All returns are carefully inspected upon receipt. Refunds are administered based on the conditions stated above. All Products must be in the original packaging and must not have been, used, modified or installed. Please note that refunds are made as follows: If customer cancels the order and the product has left AC-World’s warehouse, the customer is responsible for the shipping charges for all items to and from AC-World, in addition the above stated restocking fee.  If product is being returned after it has been received by the customer, and the product is returned with opened boxes or product shows signs of wear, AC-World has the sole discretion in determining the amount (if any) of any refund. This includes any scratches or marks on product (screws or screw hole areas) wires bent or cut, etc. Under these circumstances if the refund amount is not acceptable by the purchaser, the purchaser has the option to pay a shipping charge and have the item sent back to him/her/it.  We do not recommend sending used or damaged items back to us as normally refund will be refused.  AC-World.com, may at its discretion, refuse to accept the return. If the product is returned with missing, damaged, dirty, bent, non-working parts or the item appears to have been installed no refund will be honored. There is no return on special order items. Any return on special order items will be at the sole discretion of AC-World as these items cannot be returned to the supplier. After an order is placed, the purchaser may request to receive an e-mail providing the tracking number. All items are shipped Free on Board (FOB) at our warehouse, freight prepaid. The customer takes title to the goods at the time of shipment. As such, it is the responsibility of the customer to inspect the equipment personally upon receipt. We recommend that you open all boxes on arrival to inspect for shipping damage.  If there is shipping damage to the equipment please follow these guidelines: 1) For minor cosmetic damage, note the damage on the shipping invoice/waybill and ask for a damage claim form from the shipping carrier. However, minor flaws and cosmetic damage that do not effect the operation of the system or the warranty are specifically excluded under any return or shipping  insurance policy. 2) In the rare instance of major damage, please e-mail sales@AC-World.com and contact us immediately at (248) 438-8153. YOU ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO SIGN FOR ANY DAMAGED FREIGHT FROM THE SHIPPER; HOWEVER ANY EQUIPMENT YOU SIGN FOR DOES BECOME YOUR PROPERTY. If the customer refuses to sign for the equipment due to damage, AC-World will take the shipment back and exchange for new equipment upon equipment return. Signing for the shipment states that you are receiving the equipment in good order and free of any damage. Shipping Insurance.  We only use the most reputable shipping carriers for the shipment of your order.  However, despite the best care, accidents do happen.  Please note that shipping insurance is optional on all orders.  If you have purchased optional shipping insurance, you must process your claim for damage directly with the shipping carrier.  We are not an insurer against shipping damage.   However, we will cooperate with you in submitting your damage claim to the shipping carrier.  Minor dings, dents, scratches or other cosmetic damage that does not compromise the operation of the unit are specifically excluded under the terms of any optional shipping insurance. Please note that if you fail to purchase the optional shipping insurance, AC-World or its carriers are not responsible for any damage or loss.

PLEASE INSPECT ALL YOUR EQUIPMENT CAREFULLY. THIS MEANS REMOVING ALL BOX COVERS AND INSPECTING FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY HAVE OCCURED DURING SHIPPING.


AC-World strives to insure the information on its website is accurate. If there are any typographical errors or mistakes in pricing, AC-World is not obligated to honor the mistaken price or allow for the return of the product based on the typographical error. We constantly review our site to insure the information displayed is accurate and updated.


Important Notice

Purchaser hereby acknowledges that federal law prohibits opening the refrigeration lines of any equipment purchase. A properly licensed person must handle the refrigerant contained in any unit/system. Purchaser hereby assumes full responsibility and risk for the safe and proper installation in accordance with applicable local, State and Federal code, rules, regulations and requirements . We reserve the right to make slight modifications necessary to the merchandise for product improvement.   All transactions are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan and any dispute arising thereof shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the State of Michigan.  By purchasing any item, the purchaser acknowledges that he/she/it has read and agrees with all of the policies, terms and conditions stated herein.  No modifications to the terms contained herein shall be valid unless in writing and signed by our authorized agent.
