A team of four space engineers based at the Thales Alenia Space in Cannes, France have collaborated their knowledge and expertise to come up with a revolutionary air conditioning system that will use solar power rather than electricity to operate making it much more eco-friendly than traditional units. Using their skills in space and thermal engineering, the team have designed a system that releases no greenhouse gas emissions and uses the power of the sun to heat water up to 200 degrees Celsius. The pressurized water is then transferred to another unit, where it can supply both hot and cold water. For temperatures below zero, a water-ammonia mixture is used as the cooler.

The range of temperatures the Helioclim can achieve is its unique selling point within the market. Add this to the flexibility of being able to tailor the system to meet your requirements, and the zero carbon dioxide emissions, then you have really good, eco-friendly air conditioning unit.
