Ductless split-system air-conditioners are relatively new to North America, although they are the most commonly used system of air conditioning throughout Europe, Africa, Australia, Middle and Far East for many years.

They have numerous residential and commercial applications. The most common residential applications are in multifamily housing or as retrofitted add-ons to houses with hydronic or other non-ducted distribution systems (radiant panels, wood stoves, etc.). Installation in new additions, where extending or installing ductwork is not feasible, is also a popular application. Commercial uses are also numerous. Some applications include schools, perimeter cooling for office buildings, additional cooling for restaurant kitchens, and cooling for small offices within larger spaces, such as arenas, warehouses, and auditoriums. Ductless systems are also perfectly suited for locations with equipment that generator a high level of heat, such as server rooms and recording studios.

Understandably, ductless systems are becoming more popular in larger houses and offices, even when they are equipped with advanced central air conditioning system. By providing zone cooling, Ramsond ductless split-system air-conditioners save energy, since only the rooms that are occupied need to be cooled. Therefore, operating costs are much lower than those of central systems that cool every room, whether it is in use or not. So, with a ductless system you can control the temperature of a limited area (where the ductless system is located). Therefore, you have the benefit of cooling only the room that you want, while leaving the central AC system off.

The compressor and condenser are housed as one OUTDOOR UNIT (2). The OUTDOOR UNIT is placed outside. It can be placed on the ground or mounted on brackets against an exterior sidewall. The main power is first fed to the outdoor unit.

The fan/evaporator unit are housed in the INDOOR UNIT (1). The indoor unit is controlled by a multifunction wireless remote control (3). The indoor unit mounts on a wall (usually at least 6 feet from the floor). There is a mounting bracket built into the rear of the indoor unit. The mounting bracket is secured to the interior wall and the indoor unit simply hangs on it much like a picture frame. A 3-inch-hole is drilled through the wall where the indoor unit is located. Usually the indoor unit is placed over this hole so it is concealed. The connecting pipes #4 (lineset), drain tube and wires are connected to the indoor unit and fed through this 3-inch-hole to the outside and connected to the outdoor unit.

The indoor unit draws its power from the outdoor unit through connecting cables. Connection wires also provide the means for the communication between the outdoor unit and indoor unit.

1. PRECHARGED WITH DuPont SUVA R410A

ALL RAMSOND MINI SPLIT SYSTEMS ARE PRECHARGED WITH R410 REFRIGERANT. THERE IS NO NEED TO ADD REFRIGERANT. Ramsond Model 37GWX contains the latest generation of R410 by DuPont, making it even more efficient and environmentally friendly.

2. COMPLETE INSTALLATION KIT

All Ramsond mini split systems come with a complete installation kit. There is no need to shop around for the necessary components for installation. Everything you need is provided with the unit. 15 ft of connecting tube, as well as wiring, connections, tape, etc. is provided.

3. QUICK CONNECT TYPE COPPER TUBING (LINESET)

Unlike most other systems in the market, Ramsond's mini split systems are equipped with quick connection flanges, which eliminate the need for welding or soldering of connection lines. The flanges simply need to be connected and tightened.
